Memorial for Edgewater Residents Mellie and Melisa Stasko

The Edgewater community suffered a terrible tragedy a few weeks ago, when a violent crime took two of our own, Mellie and Melisa Stasko.

As parents who are building a safe and loving community in Edgewater, we wanted to come together in peace to remember both Mellie and Melisa.

Please join us on Friday, January 15th at 5:00PM at the Riverwalk behind Whole Foods. We will take a walk together to The Windsor, where Mellie and Melisa lived. There we will have a short ceremony, lasting approximately 10-15 minutes. Bringing items such as candles, cards, and flowers will be permitted. We encourage people to walk or carpool and park in the Hilliard Ave municipal lot. (See attached flyer.)

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 19tth at 5:00 PM.

We are a small group of mothers who have come together to show our children and community that goodness always prevails. Please pass this information along to anybody who might want to be there with us.
