Rigoberto Cardenas, 39, allegedly drove through an EZ-Pass lane without paying, police said.

FORT LEE, NJ — A man was arrested at the George Washington Bridge Tuesday after police discovered he owed more than $62,000 in EZ-Pass tolls and fees, authorities announced.

Port Authority Police Officer Leonel Gonzalez was on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge at about 9 a.m. Monday when he saw Rigoberto Cardnenas, 39, of Morristown, drive a 2015 Mack dump truck through an EZ-Pass toll lane without paying, said Port Authority Police spokesperson Joseph Pentangelo.

A records check showed that the EZ-Pass account associated with the truck was revoked and suspended with more than 530 previous violations totaling more than $62,200, Pentangelo said.
