'Boro Back-To-School Bash' Returns To Freehold For 2nd Year (patch.com) — Families in Freehold Borough are invited to the second annual Boro Back-to-School Bash on Saturday at the Park Avenue Complex, offering free backpacks, school supplies, and teacher packs. The Freehold Borough School District and local partners will also provide flu shots, games, food, and information on community resources to help students start the year prepared and confident.

Hackensack Meridian opens Freehold wellness center (njbiz.com) — A new 36,000-square-foot Hackensack Meridian wellness center has opened at Juniper Plaza in Freehold, bringing primary care, specialists, imaging, and rehab much closer to home. Open for Business in Monmouth recognizes business grand openings in August (einpresswire.com) — From their base in Freehold, Monmouth County commissioners are spotlighting seven new businesses that held ribbon cuttings across the county in August, from Marlboro to Asbury Park. The Open for Business in Monmouth initiative invites local owners and chambers, including those in and around Freehold, to request county help celebrating openings, expansions, relocations, and major anniversaries.
   

4. Colts Neck Police Sergeant Charged With Theft After Allegedly Spending On-Duty Hours at Home (tapinto.net) — Prosecutors in Freehold have charged a Colts Neck police sergeant with third-degree theft, alleging he spent large portions of on-duty and overtime shifts at home while being paid. Investigators say he even logged responses to calls he never answered, raising broader concerns for Monmouth County residents about oversight of taxpayer-funded police time and accountability.
