Three incidents involving violence on NJ highways have happened this week, leaving two people dead. At least one killer remains at-large.

Three incidents involving violence on New Jersey highways have happened this week, leaving two people dead and police still searching for at least one suspected killer.

In two of the incidents, the victim was shot and killed while driving the car on New Jersey highways. In one of the incidents, a woman was driving with her 1-year-old child in the car.

The most recent incident happened overnight on Friday, when the mother of the 1-year-od was killed on Route 33. Here is what happened in that incident and other incidents this week:

Woman Fatally Shot While Driving On Route 33 Identified

The woman shot and killed on the Route 33 bypass on Friday morning has been identified as a Freehold resident. Sciasia Calhoun, 24, was killed as she was driving onto Halls Mills Road from the bypass at the time, authorities said.

Her boyfriend and a 1-year-old child in the car were unharmed, the Monmouth County prosecutor's office said. Read more here...

Beloved Asbury Park Barber Was Victim In Route 18 Gun Killing

Lloyd Earl Sanders was known as "Everlasting." It was even on the name of his barber shop. He was also known as the "comeback kid" because he came back from everything. And even with all the troubles in his life, he seemed like he could last forever, his friends say.

Many continued to mourn the beloved barber's passing as the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office continues to search for the gunman, or gunmen, who fired as many as 10 to 15 shots from a moving car into Sanders's vehicle on Route 18 on Sunday. Some kind of altercation happened, and the car ended up smashing into a guardrail, according to the MCPO. Read more here...

Metuchen Man Charged With Assault By Auto On NJ Highway

A Metuchen man was charged with assault-by-auto following a crash on the Pulaski Skyway in Kearny, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

Robert Woods, 65, from Metuchen, was charged after he was involved in a crash with a motorcycle around 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, Suarez said. Read more here...
