Local visitors can still enjoy Battleview's sunflower field, pumpkins, hayrides, cider, donuts, pies, and other fall favorites at the Wemrock Road orchard.

Freehold Township Man Sentenced In Fatal 2022 Crash (patch.com) β Freehold readers are learning that a 41-year-old Freehold Township man has been sentenced to five years in prison, with no early release and a lengthy license suspension, for a 2022 drunk-driving crash that killed a pedestrian on Route 9. The case, investigated by Old Bridge police and Middlesex County prosecutors, stems from a high-speed, late-night collision that claimed the life of a 69-year-old Old Bridge resident.

Corrections Officer Sentenced For Fatal Drunk Driving Old Bridge Crash (patch.com) β A 41-year-old Freehold Township man has been sentenced to five years in prison, without early release, for the drunk-driving crash that killed a pedestrian on Route 9 in Old Bridge. Residents should know he'll also lose his license for nine years after pleading guilty to second-degree vehicular manslaughter stemming from the 2022 incident.
