With each passing day, temperatures will steadily moderate to above normal levels before a powerful Arctic cold front on Friday night into Saturday morning.
Today through Wednesday, scattered cloud cover can be expected with isolated to widely scattered showers possible at any time. Winds will veer to the northeast at 5 to 15 mph through this evening and then back to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph tomorrow afternoon through Wednesday. Temperatures today will rise into the mid to upper 40's for highs this afternoon. Tomorrow, temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30's for lows and mid 40's to lower 50's for highs. On Wednesday, temperatures will range from the mid to upper 30's for lows and mid to upper 40's over the interior and lower to mdi 50's along the coast for highs.
An Arctic cold front will slowly approach the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas. The cold front will be to the west of the northern Mid Atlantic through Friday afternoon which will drive mild air into the region. Temperatures will range from the lower to mid 40's for lows and lower to mid 50's for highs on Thursday. On Friday, temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40's for morning highs followed by temperatures falling into the mid to upper 30's as the cold front drops south.

Rain and snow showers will change over to snow showers on Saturday morning followed by clearing skies by Saturday night. Arctic high pressure will be in control Sunday with scattered clouds. Temperatures on Saturday will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's for lows and upper 30's to lower 40's for highs. Temperatures on Sunday will range from the upper 10's to mid 20's for lows and lower to mid 30's for highs.
