‘Code Blue’ Alert Extended In Monmouth County: Where To Find Shelter

Cold weather is expected to continue in the coming days. Here's where you can access warming centers in Monmouth County:

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — A “Code Blue” alert has been extended throughout Monmouth County, keeping warming centers and shelters open to those in need.

“Code Blue” is put in place when temperatures drop below freezing (32°F), and conditions pose a threat to unsheltered individuals.

As we head into the weekend, New Jersey residents are bracing for an Arctic blast set to hit the Garden State, bringing brutally cold temperatures, high winds and snow to the region.

According to the Monmouth County Government, the current “Code Blue” alert has been extended until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
