Man Who Robbed, Tried To Sexually Assault Teen Sentenced In Monmouth County (patch.com) — Residents in and around Freehold will note that a 48-year-old Freehold Borough man has been sentenced to 40 years in state prison for a 2023 armed robbery and attempted sexual assault of a 19-year-old in Manalapan. Multiple local agencies, including Freehold Borough and Freehold Township police, collaborated on the investigation that used surveillance, digital forensics, and witness accounts to identify and convict him.

NJ Coffee Festival To Return For 2026: See Details (patch.com) — Coffee fans in Freehold can look forward to the New Jersey Coffee Festival returning Nov. 14–15 at Warehouse 100 on Schanck Road in Freehold Township. The weekend event will feature curated vendors, tastings, workshops, and coffee-inspired cocktails, with timed morning and afternoon sessions and opportunities to buy tickets or apply as a vendor online.
