FREEHOLD, NJ — The Freehold Regional High School District has in-person graduation plans ready to go for the week of July 27, Superintendent Charles Sampson announced.
The in-person ceremonies are being finalized after Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday announced that outdoor gatherings will be allowed to increase to 50o people beginning July 3.
Murphy made the announcement of the plan to increase gathering sizes on Tuesday as he announced a further relaxation of state restrictions amid the coronavirus crisis.

Sampson said the virtual graduation ceremonies are scheduled for June 24 at the district's six high schools — Colts Neck, Freehold, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan and Marlboro — and will go ahead as scheduled "to allow students who may not be able to attend the in-person event to receive recognition."
The in-person ceremonies are scheduled for the week of July 27.
"Principals will communicate the details of both the virtual and in-person ceremonies as each program nears," Sampson said.
