“This is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of the Latino cultures,” said Angel Matos, chair of the Latino Festival of Monmouth County. “Every year the festival gets bigger and better. It has gone from being a small community event to a regional festival drawing people from across a wide area.”
Matos continued: “We encourage everyone to attend and enjoy this big street party. The town will be shaking to the sounds of salsa, merengue, reggaeton, and mariachi.”
In addition to music and dance acts, the festival will offer a variety of Latin foods from various restaurants. It will also feature games and fun for the entire family, face painting, petting zoo, inflatable rides, children’s dance contest are just some of the fun events the organizers have waiting for you this year.
“This is a great opportunity for local businesses and service organizations to showcase their products to the community,” said Lazaro Cardenas, marketing coordinator for the event. Latinos are a critical market for businesses. They are the biggest and fastest growing minority group in the U.S, and our area is no exception.” Concluded Cardenas.
