Tranquil conditions and warmer temperatures today

High pressure will be in full control through this weekend with scattered cloud cover and slowly moderating temperatures back to near normal levels.  The next threat of rain will be on Monday with a strong cold front followed by a return to below normal temperatures and windy conditions.

Today through tomorrow, high pressure will produce scattered cloud cover to clear skies.  Winds will back from the northwest to west at 5 to 15 mph as high pressure shifts towards the coast.  Temperatures will be slightly below normal through the forecast period.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's over the interior and mid 30's along the coast.  High temperatures will range from the upper 40's to lower 50's over the interior and lower to mid 50's along the coast and in urban locations.

High pressure will shift off the coast on Saturday and Sunday with scattered cloud cover and winds shifting to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  With the southwesterly wind, temperatures will warm to near to above normal levels.  On Saturday, temperatures will range from the upper 30's to lower 40's for lows and mid to upper 50's for highs.  On Sunday, temperatures will range from the lower to mid 40's for lows and upper 50's to lower 60's for highs.

On Monday, a strong cold front will move through the region with scattered showers.  The showers will be capable of producing heavy downpours in the evening hours.  Temperatures will remain warm ahead of the cold front with high temperatures in the upper 50's to mid 60's.  Low temperatures will depend on how fast the cold air moves into the region as the coldest conditions will be after the cold front passage with lows in the upper 40's to lower 50's.

High pressure will produce scattered cloud cover and colder weather conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Low temperatures will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's.  High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 40's over the interior and upper 40's to lower 50's along the coast.
