Warm and tranquil conditions this weekend

High pressure will be in control today on through Sunday with rather pleasant weather conditions expected for the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas.  Temperatures will warm to above normal levels by Sunday before a cold front drives another cold air mass into the northern Mid Atlantic by Tuesday morning.

Today through tomorrow, scattered cloud cover can be expected with some overcast conditions at times.  A series of weak disturbances will move through the region with perhaps an extremely isolated shower, especially tomorrow afternoon.  However, I expect the majority of the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas to remain dry.  Any shower that does develop will be very weak.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures this afternoon will rise into the mid to upper 50's for highs.  Tomorrow, temperatures will range from the upper 30's to lower 40's for lows and mid 50's for highs.

On Sunday, scattered cloud cover can be expected with showers developing late in the evening.  Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 15  mph, increasing to 10 to 20 mph by evening.  Temperatures will be well above normal on Sunday with lows in the mid to upper 40's and highs in the upper 50's to lower 60's.
