2 Found With Gun In Stolen Vehicle: Absecon Police
Both suspects tried to flee police, according to authorities.
ABSECON, NJ — Two people were accused Saturday of driving a stolen vehicle in Absecon with a handgun, police said. Both suspects tried to flee police while driving and on foot, authorities said.
Absecon patrol units found the stolen vehicle while it was driving on Route 30 at 11:17 a.m. Saturday, police said. The 2018 Ford Focus fled from police attempting to stop it, authorities said.
Police found the vehicle shortly after behind Dollar General off S. New Road. Both people in the vehicle tried to escape on foot, police said. Authorities found the man hiding in the Osyter Bay complex and the woman along W. California Avenue near Manor Drive.

The woman discarded a firearm during the chase, which police retrieved, according to authorities.
Damonyea Q. Mallory Sr., 28, of Atlantic City, was charged with receiving stolen property, eluding, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon, being a certain person not to possess weapons, possessing hollow point bullets, having under 50 grams of marijuana and several motor vehicle violations, police said.

Pamara V. Dudley, 20, of Mays Landing, was charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest by flight, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow point bullets, police said.
