80-Year-Old Killed, Another Injured In Atlantic Co. Crash: Police

The woman died from her injuries after another car struck the passenger side where she was sitting, Egg Harbor Township police said.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — An 80-year-old passenger was killed and the driver injured in a two-car crash in Egg Harbor Township earlier in September, police said.

On Sept. 2, at about 3:38 p.m., Michelle Sanders, 54, of Pleasantville was turning left from Washington Ave. onto Uibel Ave. when her 2012 Honda Fit was struck by a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by Nikko Franzen, 30, of Egg Harbor Township, heading south on Tilton Rd., police said.

Sanders made the left turn in front of the truck, causing it to hit the passenger side of her Honda, where Delores McCreight, 80, of Northfield was sitting, police said.

Both Sanders and McCreight were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, police said, where McCreight later died from her injuries. Sanders's current status was not released by police.

Franzen and his passenger, Gina Czerwinski of Egg Harbor Township, were not injured in the crash, police said.
