Absecon's 9-11 Memorial Set for Sept. 10 at Public Safety Park

Absecon’s Sept. 11 Memorial takes place Sept. 10 at the Public Safety Park next to the Absecon Firehouse, 6 p.m.

Absecon’s municipal officials, veterans organizations, community groups and residents will meet to honor the thousands who died in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Over 300 flags will be flying and each flag represents 10 people who lost their lives in the attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.

Emma C. Attales School seventh grader Mia Watson will sing the National Anthem.

Suite Inspirations will play patriotic songs. Nancy Hayes will sing “Where were you when the world stopped?”
