1. Galloway Man Pleads Guilty In 3 Separate Cases (patch.com) — Residents in Galloway may recognize the name of a 36-year-old township man who just pleaded guilty in three linked criminal cases spanning Galloway Township and Atlantic City between 2024 and 2026. Prosecutors say he admitted to weapons-related ammunition charges and multiple drug distribution offenses, including a July 2026 Galloway traffic stop where officers recovered crack cocaine, heroin and an oxycodone pill, and he now faces five years in state prison.
2. Get creative with waste in ACUA recycled art contest (pressofatlanticcity.com) — Atlantic County residents, including those in Galloway, are invited to turn household trash and recyclables into artwork for ACUA's 12th Annual Recycled Art Contest, with entries accepted at the Galloway library branch and Stockton's Bjork Library from October 1–31. Winners, chosen across several age and group categories, earn cash prizes and recognition at America Recycles Day in Egg Harbor Township on November 21.
3. Two Freshmen Win $7,500 in Atlantic Cape C.C. Culinary Contest (wpgtalkradio.com) — A Galloway resident and Absegami High School graduate, Jazmin De La Rosa Andujar, has won a $7,500 Atlantic Cape culinary scholarship while also running a small cake business from her Galloway home. She and fellow freshman Payton Sinou earned the awards during a timed cooking competition at Atlantic Cape's Mays Landing campus, judged on taste, technique, and presentation.
4. Men's soccer retains longest unbeaten streak since 2012, women's volleyball starts UAA Round Robin play and other news (nyunews.com) — NYU's men's soccer team was supposed to visit Stockton University in Galloway for a weekend match, but the game was cancelled due to bad weather. The broader roundup highlights NYU golf, soccer, tennis, and volleyball successes, while noting upcoming fixtures that may still bring visiting college teams and fans into New Jersey.
