Man Charged After Stabbing During Atlantic City Fight: Police

The 47-year-old man was charged in connection with the stabbing of a 23-year-old Atlantic City man, authorities said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man was arrested after stabbing another man during an altercation, authorities said.

Karahn D. Hinson, 47, stabbed a 23-year-old Atlantic City man on Saturday, March 26, police said. Hinson is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The two men were fighting inside a residence on the 1700 block of Logan Avenue when Hinson stabbed the other, police said. Atlantic City Police Officer Joseph Kelly, Jr. noticed the victim collapse in the street and saw he had a stab wound in his chest and was bleeding heavily. Kelly gave the victim lifesaving medical aid, cops said.

When officers arrived at the residence, there were several people inside, police said. Hinson was identified as the suspect and taken into custody without incident.

The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for a life-threatening stab wound.

Hinson sits in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
