Atlantic City Man Charged With Attempted Murder
Police said that Ronald Aponte, 64, stabbed an acquaintance numerous times before fleeing the scene.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man was arrested after stabbing a man multiple times on March 22, police said.
Witnesses saw Ronald Aponte, 64, stabbing a 63-year-old man, only identified as an acquaintance of Aponte's, before 11 a.m. at the 2800 block of the boardwalk yesterday, police said. According to the police, Aponte was seen stabbing the man numerous times before throwing away the knife in a trashcan and fleeing the scene.
Police were able to get a description of Aponte and learned his address. Police went to Aponte's address and took him into custody without any issues.

The victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment for life-threatening stab wounds.
Aponte was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
