Bambino Biathlon
The annual Bambino Biathlon returns to Port Republic, Saturday, June 11, 2011.

The Annual Bambino Biathlon is set to return again this year on Saturday, June 11, to the Harry Bowen Park in Port Republic. The race begins after the Jersey Genesis Triathlon.
Have a young aspiring athlete? Have a kid with too much energy that needs to run and bike it off? Want to do a race with your children? Want to help raise funds to maintain the Harry Bowen Park?
Then, get involved in this child-sized marathon, the Port Republic Bambino Biathlon.

Here’s what you need to know:
- Kids ages 5 – 12 can enter.
- The kids portion begins at 10 a.m., after the adults have had the triathlon.
- Fees are $15 a child, $35 per family (3 or more kids).
- Helmets are required.
- All kids must preregister by mail or online (www.jerseygenesistriathlon.com) or at the Port Republic Fire House the night before.
- T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- All kids who finish will get a ribbon.
After the Jersey Genesis Triathlon, the younger racers will start of by running a quarter-mile around Harry Bowen Park in Port Republic.

Parents are allowed to complete the course with their children. Then, they will bike for two miles.
They will finish off by running another quarter-mile to the finish line. The running portion is around the park, while the bike rides will be on traffic controlled roads.
There will be 30 winners in all:
- Top 3 Overall Females
- Top 3 Overall Males
- Top 3 Females in each age group
- Aged 5-6
- Aged 7-8
- Aged 9-10
- Aged 11-12
- Top 3 Males in each age group
- Aged 5-6
- Aged 7-8
- Aged 9-10
- Aged 11-12
