FREE Family Friendly Live Theatre Shows for this March

Have your children experienced live theatre?

This March is a great time to take your children to experience live theatre. There is just something to be said for how an actor performing in front of you can engage children in a story better than any TV show or movie.

Every March, the New Jersey Theatre Alliance collaborates with its members to offer family friendly performances and events throughout New Jersey.  There are 3 shows being offered in Atlantic County. All of them are FREE for children and adults are $5 each. Saturday, March 10 4:00 pm

• In Real Life, Free,  Mays Landing, Atlantic County
  • When four students encounter anonymous text messages, exploited secret photos and threatening online conversations, rumors go viral and the dangers of cyber-bullying lead to consequences everyone needs to face. The production investigates how students can take an active role to end cyber-bullying. Recommended for ages 11 – 18. Performed by the George Street Playhouse.

Friday, March 23 3:00 pm

• Happily Ever After- A Cinderella Tale , $5.00 per adult and 3 children free, Atlantic City, Atlantic County
  • Based on the beloved classic tale, this musical adaptation takes us on a sometimes happy, sometimes sad, but always compelling journey, fueled by inner beauty, courage and kindness as the main characters triumph over greed, arrogance and bully behavior. Performed by the Pushcart Players.

Friday, March 23 7:00 pm

• Stone Soup and Other Stories, Buy one adult ticket @$5, any children free, Absecon, Atlantic County
  • Story Theatre at its best with four folk tales from around the world, providing a delightful introduction to theatre, as well as to the cultures and customs of different lands. Performed by the Pushcart Players.
