It's all about the Presentation !

What is up with time these days? When they say time flies, I guess they really mean it! I would just like to know who “they” is. I say that often. I still haven't found the answer!

So today I'd like to talk about presentation. You know the saying, “It's not what you know, it's who you know,” right? Isn't that so true, too.

In real estate, you will often hear, “Location, Location, Location” Isn't that so true.

How about, “ You can never make a good second chance to make a first impression." Isn't that so true?

How about when you go to a nice restaurant? How many times do you take in the service, the décor, the food presentation. Places need to live up to the standards they set, don't you think? We often say that as you climb the ladder of success, you need to elevate yourself as well for people will see you differently.

Let's just talk about a couple of people and places that live up to their own set standards and do it FABULOUSLY!

First, there is Chef J.D. Austin. I believe we have spoken about Chef before. You may have seen him in the past doing his rendition of the Chef Bluz show, where he cooks and plates food for an entire audience while he sings with his “Blues” Band.

Chef J.D. was the featured Chef at “Chefs at the Shore “ not too long ago. People had to audition to be the entertainment for the day. Chef J.D. blew everyone away with his awesome PRESENTATION!

Then we have Chef Chris Herrmann. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Chef at the Gorgeous Sea Oaks Country Club. Chef Chris is the head chef there. Just by looking at the photo here, you can see why Chef Chris and Sea Oaks pride themselves in the presentation. This was just an appetizer tray - Lobster, Clams, Mussels, etc. - on a tower of greens.

Now I, personally, don't even eat any of that stuff; yet I was truly amazed by the PRESENTATION, and I did eat my main dish. The Sea Oaks Country Club is undoubtedly one of the best places to feed your palate. You can close your eyes after you drive up the long driveway, swing around the Inn, park, and take in the golf course view. And ALMOST know what to expect when you walk in the door. The ambiance, the food, the staff, the entertainment, the service and of course Chef Chris live up to their presentation.

Do you live up to yours?

If you are in business, no matter what you do, you should always be living up to your standards and your presentation. Present yourself in the best light you possibly can and others will see you that way too. You will always have the nay-sayers so don't even worry about them. They do what they do by design. You just concentrate on your best presentation of you, of your business , and you will get the best presentation of life.
