"Our little Blog Patch" from Ava Holly

Wow! What a time to be spreading the word about our area....

Hello and welcome to “Our little Blog Patch” from Ava Holly-

Let's spend a few minutes this week chatting about the revitalization of entertainment and restaurants in the area, along with a spotlight on one unique performer.

First of all, I think it's a good thing that some of us had to wake up and smell the coffee so to say, to get our heads around the fact that investing in our entertainment and our restaurants is a good idea.

Yea, there are always the ones, like you and me, that knew this all along....hahaha.... but I think with the way everything has shifted in our economy today, it is good to have more people thinking this way.

With a big casino revitalization in our area, emphasis is being placed not only on gaming, but on entertainment and fine dining; emphasis on bringing people to this area, ALL of this area, as a tourist emporium if you may.

We have so much rich history across this area as a whole. From Leeds Point, to Smithville, to Atlantic City, the Noyes Museum, Stockton and all the new businesses opening up around us - it is such a wonderful time to spread the word about all that we have to offer.

Next time, I will be talking with you about one of those exciting new businesses but today, I'm focusing on one entrepreneur in particular- Chef JD Austin.

What makes Chef JD unique is his ability to sing with a band, and cook for an entire audience at the same time. Chef's CUSTOM DINNER SHOWS were available a couple of years ago in a couple of nearby restaurants, and then Chef decided it was time to take it all to the next level.

So he stopped what he was doing, continued his work as an actual chef, and bought a MAC computer.

What??? So what???

Well, this allowed Chef to take MAC classes and work on making his Custom Dinner shows the best around. He has been able to create everything from the contract to the menu right on his MAC and can offer up a handful of tasty themes to bring to the table. He can do small shows, large shows and a variety of things in between.

How cool is it to be surprised in the audience too if you have a birthday , anniversary or some special day - and there is Chef making you feel special during his show?

There's a dinner song, a salad song, a dessert song, and of course an after dinner dancing experience. This is all done while you eat. From soup to nuts, no pun intended, Chef JD has what it takes to make a unique dining experience for any private party or corporate event.

You can catch one of his shows right here in our gorgeous Smithville Community this August. You can also get more information and come out to meet our own Chef JD at “Chef's at the Shore” this June 23.

As always, you can contact me at my web page for more information on any of our articles, clients and shows at www.4astar.com
