The "Balcony Blogger" Challenge....

Take the Balcony Blogger Challenge....

Ok, so let's get some kind of feeling on all this social media stuff!!!!

I go back to the old saying, “Everything in moderation." I am certainly no expert in that department nor do I have the time to be on all these different sites all the time. That being said, I do have accounts in some of the major areas.

The newest one I created today is on Pinterest. Having the business I have and wearing all the hats, as I'm sure many of you can relate to, I decided that if I was going to go onto Pinterest, I was going to do it with a purpose.

This is where the Balcony Blogger comes in. That would be me.

My own personal blog page has 7 followers, as of Saturday morning. I only go there and post a blog about once a month. For one reason or another that was the norm for me. Sometimes it was even longer. So I decided to have a purpose.

Many of you know that I love movies. I took an idea from a movie that I love and I decided to see if it would impact me as well as impact others.

For 365 days, one year, I am going to encourage people to do something that they haven't done in awhile, always wanted to try or something that takes them out of their comfort zone.

It could be the simplest to the most complex thing. It doesn't matter. I encourage you to blog about it, even go to my blog site and post something. If nothing else, follow my blog. This is going to force me to do something everyday there.

I would love to see what people discover as they embark on some old hobbies, old habits or create new ones. Now I'm only asking you to do this for 5-10 min. each day. You can choose something more time consuming if you like. It's all up to you.

Who is up for the challenge? To read more about the challenge, visit the blog site at www.avasallocations.blogspot.com or go to www.pinterest.com/only1ava and get there through that site. You can check out the site too. It's really cool.

Now, I suggest that you don't let all these different social media sites overwhelm you. I can tell you that I have my favorites and that I find some of the sites much easier to navigate than others.

If you go to the sites that are free to join, you can at least get started and see what works for you. That could even be one of your five minute tests for yourself. I want this challenge to encourage a positive attitude and remember that attitude determines altitude time and time again.

So who is up for the challenge? Let's see what we find out about ourselves, about how we see things and about our lives. Life is too short to just go in circles all the time. Take the time to stop and smell the roses.

Maybe that's what you will do for 5 or 10 min. tomorrow. Take a walk, try a bike ride, do something unexpected. I am watching for you to take the Balcony Blogger challenge and see what happens when we talk about it again at the end of 365 days.
