EHT PAL Waives Preschool Fees For Parents Affected By Shutdown

The EHT PAL will also host a Shutdown Relief Appreciation Dinner on Jan. 31 where they will provide gift cards to affected workers.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League will waive fees from the Little PAL's Preschool and their STEM classes for affected federal workers during the government shutdown, the organization announced Wednesday.

EHT PAL will also host a Shutdown Relief Appreciation Dinner for furloughed workers from 6-9 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Egg Harbor Township Community Center (5045 English Creek Ave.). The organization set aside $10,000 for this effort but also seek donations, according to executive director Hector Tavarez.

EHT PAL will distribute gift cards at the dinner to help during the shutdown, Tavarez said. Click here to donate online. Or you can mail checks to Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League, 2590 Ridge Ave., Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.

"We cannot just sit back, do nothing and watch our friends suffer due to no fault of their own," Tavarez said in a statement.
