Galloway Man Charged With Stealing Over $1,000 From Parked Car

Aaron Kizer-Goff allegedly broke into the car in the Family Dollar parking lot on Monday.

A Galloway man has been charged with breaking into a car and stealing over $1,000 in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on New York Road, Galloway Police said Monday night.

Aaron Kizer-Goff, 31, was charged with burglary to a motor vehicle and theft after a Port Republic man told police he saw Kizer-Goff allgedly rummaging through his car as he exited the store at around 5:27 p.m.

When the victim confronted Kizer-Goff, he allegedly fled toward Waterview Drive, and the victim gave chase.

When the victim returned to his vehicle he allegedly discovered that approximately $1,100 in cash and loose change was stolen. He then called police to the scene.

Patrol and K-9 Units responded and set up a perimeter in the area.

During the ensuing search, Officer James Mulholland found Kizer-Goff crossing New York Road and stopped him in front of The Smithville Inn, where he was arrested. Kizer-Goff was allegedly found in possession of all of the money that was stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

Additionally, he was found to have an outstanding NCIC warrant out of Atlantic County.

Kizer-Goff was lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail.
