Galloway Man Dead After NJ Transit Bus Crash: Police
The driver of the car that crashed into a NJ Transit bus Thursday has died, police said.
ABSECON, NJ — A Galloway man whose car crashed into a NJ Transit bus in Absecon Thursday evening has died, police said.
John Barker, 48, crashed his car into the bus at the intersection of S Shore Road and Ohio Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday, Absecon police said. He was the only person in the 2006 Mercedes sedan, police said.
Twelve bus passengers and the bus driver were injured in the crash, police said.

The bus was en route from Atlantic City to Lindenwold when it was struck, a NJ Transit spokesperson previously told Patch.

Absecon police are still investigating the crash, but speed is believed to be a factor, police said.
Police said that the roadway was closed for five hours Thursday while the crash was investigated.
