Woman 'Violently Handled' Kids At NJ Day Care, Charged: Police

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Galloway Township woman has been charged after she was seen on surveillance footage violently handling several children at a day care, Egg Harbor Township police said.
Angela Capella, 26, was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation into incidents in December at an Egg Harbor Township child care facility, police said.
Egg Harbor Township police did not identify the facility but said Capella had been fired and the child care was cooperative in the investigation.

A report by BreakingAC identified it as Kids Choice Academy on the Blackhorse Pike.
One mother told BreakingAC that her daughter was trying to nap when Capella grabbed her from her cot, then threw her back onto it, that report said.

Capella was released on complaint summonses in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act, police said.
Egg Harbor Township Officer Alekhine Pahang and Detective Katrina Cantell investigated. Anyone with information concerning the incident is asked to contact the Egg Harbor Township Criminal Investigations Bureau at 609-926-4051.
