Galloway Women Locked 2 Toddlers, Infant In Car While Shopping: Police
Two Galloway women locked three children, ages 3, 1 and 5 months, inside a car on a hot day while shopping at Walmart, police said.

EGG HARBOR TWP, NJ — Three children were rescued after being locked in a hot car for about 45 minutes Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The children, ages 3, 1 and 5 months, were locked in the car that was not running with windows closed while two women, Cyndie Jourdain and a 17-year-old, both of Galloway, were inside Walmart in the Oak Tree Plaza, Egg Harbor Township police said. At the time, about 2:48 p.m., the temperature outside was about 86 degrees, police said.
Both women were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police said. They were released pending court.

Police rescued the children using a lock kit and were immediately turned over to Egg Harbor Township EMS for treatment. They were taken to to Atlantic City Medical Center, "but are expected to be okay," police said.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency also responded to the hospital.

The Egg Harbor Township Police Department thanked "the citizens who contacted police and stood by to be sure the children were safe."
