Identity Of Human Remains Found In Galloway Sought By Officials

An unknown man's remains were found in Galloway on June 7, 2021. Officials are seeking the public's assistance in identifying him.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Officials are still trying to identify the human remains found in a wooded section of Galloway in 2021, and now are asking for the public's assistance in finding them.

The skeletal remains of a man were discovered in a wooded area at 187 S. Pomona Road on June 7, 2021.

While much is unknown about who this man was, jewelry was found with his body that may help identify him, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.

Officials know that the remains belong to a man, about 40 to 60-years-old at the time of death and between 5'5" and 5'11". His race is unknown.

He was found with a metallic ring and single stud earring, silver in color (see above photos).

The body was also found with multiple layers of clothing, including a pair of Levi Jeans, Model 511 Skinny, Size 30 x 32 and a Children’s Place Red/Navy Striped Sweater Size L 10/12, according to officials.

There is also evidence of a previous surgical repair to the right hand with a metallic plate, officials said.
