The 60-year-old man had to be medevaced after he fell Sunday while on his boat and hurt his back, Coast Guard officials said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A 60-year-old man had to be medevaced by the Coast Guard after falling and hurting his back on his boat, U.S. Coast Guard officials said.
Watchstanders with Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a notification from the 31-foot pleasure craft, Reely, that the man had fallen nearly 104 miles east of Atlantic City on Sept. 18, the Coast Guard said.
"The watchstanders directed the launch of a Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City HC-130 Hercules airplane crew, an Air Station Atlantic City MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and diverted the Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma crew to assist," the Coast Guard said.

The helicopter crew then arrived and lowered a Coast Guard rescue swimmer who helped the health service technician "safely hoist the man," Coast Guard officials said.
