Man May Have Tried Luring Teen Into Vehicle: Galloway PD

Police were able to find the 17-year-old girl and take her home.

GALLOWAY, NJ — A man may have tried luring a teen girl into his vehicle Tuesday morning, police said. The driver honked his horn, pulled up next to her and started exiting the vehicle, according to Galloway police.

The incident took place at about 11:40 a.m while the girl was walking home from school. Police were able to find the girl on E. Jimmie Leeds Road and take her home.

The girl described the vehicles as a tan older-model minivan with tinted rear windows, police said. She said the driver was a black male in his late twenties or early thirties with scruffy facial hair, police said. He was wearing a white t-shirt with writing on the front.

The driver didn't have a conversation with her, police said. No further descriptors are available at this time.
