Man Spits On, Assaults South Jersey Walmart Employee: Police
A Walmart employee is uninjured after a man spat on her and pinned her to a wall by her neck, Egg Harbor Township police said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — A Walmart employee is uninjured after a man spat on her and pinned her to a wall by her neck, Egg Harbor Township police said.
Police are looking for an Atlantic City man in connection with the assault; he is also wanted on charges of robbery and shoplifting.
Officers arrived at the Walmart in Farmington shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4. A loss prevention employee told police she approached a man and confronted him about merchandise he had not paid for, police said. The suspect pinned the woman to the wall and spat on her before leaving in a Hyundai Sonata, police said.

Egg Harbor Township police have identified 24-year-old Matthew Sturdivant of Atlantic City as the suspect. Sturdivant faces charges of simple assault, robbery, and shoplifting.

The woman is uninjured and gave police a description of Sturdivant and his vehicle, according to a post from the EHPD.
