VIDEO: Mayor Don Purdy Takes ALS Challenge
Don Purdy took the challenge, which has helped the ALS Association raise over $13 million as of Sunday.

Galloway Mayor Don Purdy is the latest to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The challenge, which began in Boston in July, has taken off and helped raise over $13 million for the ALS Association as of Sunday.
Each person who participates challenges others. Those challenged have 24 hours to post a video of themselves getting dumped with a bucket of ice water or they must donate $100 to research for ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

In his video posted on Sunday, Purdy says he will do both.
He then challenges Deputy Mayor Tony Coppola, Councilman Tim Meadows, Lloyd Wimberg of Wimberg Funeral Home, Lori Herndon of AtlantiCare Health Services, Ed Kline of Kline Construction and Chad Blaze, who is serving in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, to take the challenge.
