Memorial Planned For Victims Of NJ Home Explosion As Investigation Continues
A friend of the family identified two of the young victims who died in the home explosion last week. A candlelight vigil is planned Tuesday.
BUENA, NJ — The Buena community will mourn the four people killed in a home explosion last week at a candlelight service on Tuesday, as officials continue the investigation as to what caused the blast.
The memorial will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. near the home (306 Northwest Boulevard), according to Franklin Township Police and a vigil organizer.
Officials still have not identified the four victims, whose bodies were pulled from the rubble of the house. Police said that those likely still inside the home were a 2-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl, and two men aged 52 and 73, according to 6ABC.

These four people had originally been listed as missing, while a 1-year-old infant girl and a teenage girl were pulled from the fire. A friend of the family, who is organizing the vigil, identified the child victims as Lyanni and Leovani. She said people may bring candles and flowers to the vigil in pink and red, which were colors that the children loved.

"Please join us and give these babies a wonderful farewell," wrote the vigil organizer in a public Facebook post.
Franklin Township Police said there was no new information to release on the cause of the explosion as of Monday afternoon; they are investigating along with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The home was reduced to rubble after the explosion, which happened around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Landisville section of the borough.
The first officers were on scene within three minutes and reported that the home was fully engulfed in flames, according to police.
