'Partially Decomposing' Body Found In Atlantic Co. Parking Lot: Police

The body of Charles Vitolo, 32, was found "obviously deceased" in the parking lot of the Ramada West Atlantic City Hotel, police said.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — Egg Harbor Township police are investigating after a "partially decomposing" body was discovered in a car parked at the Ramada West Atlantic City Hotel, police said.

The body of Charles Vitolo, 32, of Ventnor, was found on Sept. 13 after police responded to a call of an unresponsive person in a vehicle, police said.

When Vitolo's body was found, he was "obviously deceased," police said.

While the investigation is still ongoing, a preliminary investigation suggests that no foul play was involved, police said, and the death appears to be related to a drug overdose.

This case is being investigated by Detectives Richard Vogt and Katie Cantell of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau.
