Woman Assaulted, Abandoned On Side Of The Road In Galloway: Police

A 29-year-old woman was assaulted and then left on a road Galloway, police said. This incident is currently being investigated.

GALLOWAY, NJ — A 29-year-old woman was assaulted and then abandoned on the side of the road in Galloway, police said.

The woman, an unidentified Atlantic City resident, was discovered on the west side of 4th Avenue, just south of Jimmie Leeds Road, at about 5 p.m. on May 29.

The woman appeared to have been assaulted, police said. However, initial investigation and evidence on the scene showed that the woman had been assaulted somewhere else and dropped on 4th Avenue, police said.

The woman was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Division Trauma Center where she remains hospitalized for her injuries, police said.
