• VYING FOR GLORY: 20 NY/NJ teams will try to reach Open Cup (frontrowsoccer.com) — Garfield's own SC Vistula Garfield will compete this fall in qualifying rounds for the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, facing clubs from across New York and New Jersey. The amateur side is one of 20 regional teams chasing a coveted spot in the national tournament, with first matches set for the weekend of September 12–13.
