Closures To Linger As Blizzard Brings 18 Inches Of Snow To Gloucester Twp.
Despite the blizzard tapering off, hazardous conditions remain present and several institutions will stay closed after Monday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — More than a foot of snow has fallen in Gloucester Township, and the blizzard's impacts will continue beyond Monday with local closures.
Gloucester Township had about 16 to 18 inches of snow as of late Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

A statewide travel ban, which went into effect Sunday night, was lifted at noon Monday. But State Police and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management are encouraging the public to keep avoiding unnecessary travel.

"Hazardous conditions persist in some parts of the state," the agencies said in a joint announcement. "Some roadways remain snow-covered, visibility is limited in some areas, and crews continue working to clear roads and restore safe travel."
Multiple public institutions in Gloucester Township will remain closed after Monday:
- all Gloucester Township municipal buildings: closed Tuesday.
- Gloucester Township and Black Horse Pike school districts: closed Tuesday.
- trash and recycling collection: no collection on Tuesday, operations resume Wednesday.
- Municipal Court: all sessions scheduled for Tuesday are canceled. Anyone scheduled to appear in court that day will receive notice of their new court date, the township says. If you have questions, contact the Municipal Court directly on Wednesday.
- Township Council: the council meeting scheduled for Monday night will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Somerdale got 18 inches of snow — Camden County's greatest snowfall, according to the NWS's latest snowfall totals, updated just before noon Monday.
Sicklerville's snowfall measured at 16 inches, while 15 inches fell in Mount Ephraim.
Blackwood had 12 inches of snow as of 1:47 a.m. Monday. That total has likely grown, but it paints a picture of how rapidly the snow accumulated overnight.
Snow will continue to taper off in the afternoon, but the NWS expects gusty winds to blow it around through the night.

Here's the NWS's latest forecast for Gloucester Township:
- Monday afternoon: A chance of snow, mainly before 4 p.m. Areas of blowing snow. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
- Monday night: Areas of blowing snow before midnight. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 22. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
- Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- Tuesday night: Snow likely after 1 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Wednesday: A chance of rain and snow before 10 a.m., then a chance of rain between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
