1 Killed In Gloucester Township Crash On Route 42: Police
One individual died as a result of a multi-vehicle crash in Gloucester Township on Route 42, authorities said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - One individual died as a result of a multi-vehicle crash in Gloucester Township on Route 42 Tuesday night, authorities said.
The collision occurred northbound in the area of milepost 9 around 11:50 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota told Patch.
An initial investigation found that the driver and passenger of a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling on the main road exited the vehicle due to a mechanical issue. Both the driver and occupant as well as the Chevrolet were struck by a Mitsubishi Mirage.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the truck, Marco Trunk, 59, of Deptford was pronounced deceased. The other occupant of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Mitsubishi driver, Victoria Werner, 25 of Clementon, was arrested for driving under the influence and charged with assault by auto and death by auto. She had moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
