Date, Time Set for South Jersey Football Title Game Involving Timber Creek

The date, time and location have been set for the NJSIAA South Jersey Group IV championship game between the Timber Creek and Shawnee high school football teams.

Second-seeded Shawnee will face No. 4 Timber Creek on Sunday night, Dec. 6, 6 p.m., at Rowan University, the NJSIAA announced Monday morning.

Tickets are $5.50 for adults and $2 for students and seniors.

Timber Creek is in the final following Friday night’s 30-24 upset of No. 1 seed Hammonton.

Timber Creek opened the playoffs with a 10-3 win over No. 5 Mainland in the quarterfinals.

Shawnee advanced to the final with a 28-14 win over No. 3 Bridgeton.

Shawnee defeated No. 7 Winslow, 29-20, in the quarterfinals.

Before the South Jersey title game, each team must get past their Thanksgiving Day rival.

Timber Creek hosts Triton on Thursday morning, 10 a.m.

Shawnee visits Lenape at the same time.
