English as a Second Language Info Event at Camden County College Dec. 5
ESL Open House introducing attendees to CCC classes and resources that will help them learn or improve their writing and speaking abilities.

Area residents whose first language isn’t English but who would like to learn the English language for any reason – personal or professional – are invited to attend Camden County College’s free English as a Second Language Open House from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 5.
Attendees will learn about the full array of ESL classes that Camden County College offers and have the opportunity to meet a number of current ESL program students and faculty members. A highlight will be two ESL mini-lessons that will be taught on the spot by Professor Patricia McGee.
Participants also will be introduced to the resources that the College provides for ESL students and to the services and amenities that are available on the Camden City Campus. Additional topics will include financial aid availability for ESL students and the process and timeline for enrollment in ESL courses.

The Camden County College English as a Second Language Open House is a collaborative effort by the ESL Department, the Continuing Education Department, the Office of Enrollment and Student Services and Academic Advisement. It will take place in CCC’s Camden Conference Center, which is located within the Camden Technology Center of the Camden City Campus, at 601 Cooper St. in downtown Camden.
