Gloucester Township Man Charged in Chews Landing Rite Aid Robbery
John Tracy, 39, was captured at a hotel in Blackwood Wednesday night.

A Gloucester Township man has been charged in the armed robbery at a Rite Aid pharmacy on Chews Landing Road that took place on Monday, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle said Thursday morning.
John Tracy, 39, was charged with robbery, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm at another person, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force, Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Gloucester Township Police Department at a hotel on the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike in Blackwood around 6:20 p.m on Wednesday.

He allegedly held up the pharmacist with a handgun and fled with prescription medication around 9:40 a.m. Monday morning.
Rite Aid had been offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case. The circumstances leading to Tracy’s capture were not immediately known as it pertains to the reward.

He was remanded to the Camden County Jail on $200,000 bail.
