GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Over the past few months, Gloucester Township residents have dropped off 194 pounds of unused and expired medications at the police department’s 24/7 drop box, police said this week.

“Is your medicine cabinet full of expired medications you no longer use? Your medicine is for you,” police said in the announcement. “What’s safe for you might be harmful for someone else. You can dispose of your expired, unwanted, or unused medicines through our medication drop box here at GTPD headquarters.”

The drop box is in the police department’s watch desk area. It can also be found at the entrance to the municipal building, 1261 Chews Landing Road.
