Gloucester Township 'Tax Revolt' Rally Set for Aug. 17
The political activist group GT United will host a session concerning the recent township tax increase.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Following a council meeting in which Gloucester Township residents spoke out about the township’s 12 percent municipal tax increase, the political activist group GT United will host a “GT Tax Revolt Rally” in two weeks.
The group describes the rally as “an information session for residents unhappy with current state of affairs regarding our municipal government. Bring your thoughts and ideas to share and learn how citizens can effectively approach needed change.”
The rally takes place on Wednesday night. Aug. 17, 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus building, 318 Empire Avenue in the Blackwood section of the township.

The tax increase was part of the township’s $57,950,948 budget. Residents have also seen increases from both school districts and the county.
