Highland Wrestling Team Captures District 30 Title
Highland had five individual champions take home titles, according to nj.com.

After suffering an upset in the South Jersey Group III team tournament, the Highland Regional High School wrestling team convincingly won the team title at the District 30 tournament this weekend.
Highland won the title by scoring 214.5 points, according to nj.com. Second-place Washington Township had 136.5 points. Timber Creek was fifth with 105.5 points. Seventh-place Triton scored 55.5 points.
Highland won the title with five individual champions and four second-place finishers.

The top three finishers in each weight class advance to the regional round.
Seth Henry won the 106-pound title with a 5-3 win over Washington Township’s Alec Basich.

Lucas Siegfried won the 113-pound title with a 7-1 win over Washington Township’s Dominic Pataky.
Josh Clark won the 132-pound title with an 8-5 win over Washington Township’s Mike VanHorn.
Mark Gillis pinned St. Joe’s Christian Snowden to win the 220-pound title.
Mikal Jenkins was second at 138 pounds following a pinfall loss to Williamstown’s Anthony Racobaldo.
Sheldon Morris was second at 160. He fell to Winslow’s Thomas McNeill, 5-2.
Heavyweight Andrew Baez fell to Overbrook’s Justin McCouch on an ultimate tiebreaker.
George Duddy dropped an 8-3 decision to Timber Creek’s Kashon Gordan in the 195-pound title.
Highland also had three third-place finishers.
Dillon Pendergast was third at 126 pounds with a 7-4 win over Lindenwold’s Nate Harris-Norton in the consolation round.
Joe Tripoli was third at 170 pounds. He pinned Lindenwold’s Kent Moseley in the consolation round.
Devon Starks Jr. was third at 182. He defeated Triton’s Mani Singh, 4-1, in the consolation round.
Highland entered the South Jersey Group III tournament as the No. 2 seed, but fell to No. 3 Wall in the semifinals. It bounced back to win a district title with its depth.
Timber Creek had four second-place finishers and a third place finisher.
Alex Tran advanced to the 120-pound final, but ultimately lost to Washington Township’s Nick Passarella, 3-2.
Christian LaRoda was second at 126 pound, falling to Washington Township’s Evan Fisler, 6-4.
Blaine Shade was second at 145 pounds, dropping a major decision to Winslow’s Cliff Owens.
Alex Carpenter finished second at 152, dropping a major decision to Winslow’s Keshawn Branham.
Domenic Augello was third at 113. He defeated Hammonton’s Nicholas Melhado in the consolation round.
Triton’s Parker Williams won the 170-pound title with a 7-6 win over Winslow’s Trey Anderson.
