Jamieson O'Brien performs on the Historic Walnut Street Theatre Stage

Walnut Street Theatre Welcomes Young Atco Resident to the Stage in Their Annual Holiday Production of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

Jamieson O’Brien, a student at Hammonton Middle School, takes the stage at Philadelphia’s historic Walnut Street Theatre. This season, Jamieson has been cast in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol for the second time. This annual production tells the classic story of Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the Spirits of the Past, Present and Future.

Jamieson is no stranger to the stage. Some of her recent credits include the National Tour of Gypsy, and Off- Broadway productions of A Little Princess and Barnyard Follies. Her passion for acting and singing is shared by her two older sisters, Jessica and Jordan. Jamieson says, “It is amazing to share our love of the theatre together. It’s in our blood!” Theatre takes up most of this 8th grader’s spare time, and has her participating in 4 to 5 professional productions a year.

Jamieson is looking forward to the Walnut’s annual holiday production. “My favorite part of being in A Christmas Carol is seeing old friends and meeting new people. I enjoy getting in the Christmas spirit so early!”
