GALLOWAY, NJ — Jury members could not decide in the second murder trial of a Gloucester Township man accused of shooting another teen in 2015, a report said.

Isaiah Newsome's attorney said he has been in jail unfairly, and that there is no "credible evidence" he is guilty, according to NJ Advance Media. Newsome had posted rap lyrics to his social media accounts that his attorney said prosecutors and police focused on as their main evidence against him.

The victim, Dr. Steven Davion Garrett, and Newsome were both 17 at the time. Garrett's body was found in Max Manning Park in Pleasantville on Aug. 7, 2015 with several gunshot wounds.
