Man Accused Of Sexual Assault Has Criminal History, Report Says
Mason Mallon was arrested after a friend of the victim became suspicious of a Snapchat post.

This is not the first time Mason Mallon has been in trouble with the law. Mallon, 24, of Gibbsboro, was arrested on Aug. 19 and charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, one count second-degree aggravated assault, one count of third-degree aggravated assault, one count of third-degree criminal restraint and one count of third-degree invasion of privacy. His pretrial detention hearing is set for Tuesday.
Mallon was previously accused of possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose in an incident in Gibbsboro in 2013, according to the Courier Post. He used a .22 caliber rifle, a shovel and a piece of wood to menace four people, and one person was injured. Mallon was paroled in 2015.
Earlier this month, he was arrested for the alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl. He was arrested after a friend of the 18-year-old victim became concerned for her safety after seeing a Snapchat post from Mallon. The victim appeared to be unconscious, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gibbsboro Police Chief Justin Tomaszewski.

The friend called Gibbsboro police and asked them to go to Mallon’s home on the 100 block of West Clementon Road to check on the victim. Upon arrival, police say they found the victim in Mallon’s bedroom, “disoriented, bruised and covered in blood.” She was taken to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the matter is still ongoing and is being conducted by Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Det. Allison Dube-Smith, who can be reached at 856-225-7105.
