Man Arrested, Charged in Fatal Weekend Shooting

A Camden man was arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Camden on Saturday, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Tuesday night.
Jerry Reyes, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Luis A. Feliu, of Camden.
Reyes allegedly shot Feliu during an altercation on the 1000 block of Haddon Avenue in Camden on Saturday. He was arrested around noon on Tuesday by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division as he was leaving a home in Willingboro.

He was remanded to the Camden County Jail, with a first appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
Authorities found Feliu suffering from gunshot wounds at the corner of Haddon Avenue and Mount Vernon Street in Camden around 5:20 p.m. while responding to a report of an altercation as well as a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots.

He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 5:44 p.m.
