Pedestrian Hit By Car, Killed In Gloucester Township: Police
He was hit while walking on The Black Horse Pike on Sunday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person was killed after being hit by a car while walking on The Black Horse Pike in the area of The Fox Croft Apartment Complex late Sunday morning, Gloucester Township Police said. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call for an accident involving a pedestrian at about 11:32 a.m. When they arrived, a man was laying on the side of the road with injuries to his head.
The victim had obvious signs of severe head trauma. The driver remained on the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased by EMS. The identity was not released on Sunday, due to an ongoing investigation and the notification of next-of-kin.
The Black Horse Pike was closed from Almonesson Road to Church Street for over four hours. The crash is currently under investigation by officers from the Gloucester Township Police Traffic Safety Bureau, Serious Crash Investigation Team.
